Fernley is the fast-growing Lyon County town about 30 miles east of Reno along I-80, set on the open high desert past the Truckee River canyon. Once a small farming and rail community, Fernley has expanded sharply over the last two decades on the back of the I-80 distribution corridor and continued residential growth. The mix of older town-center housing, newer suburban subdivisions on the east side, ranch parcels on the periphery, and a substantial warehouse and shop building footprint along the freeway gives us steady residential and light-commercial floor coating work in Fernley.
Fernley's housing stock divides cleanly. The town center off Main Street and around the old railroad has older homes from the early to mid 20th century, many with detached garages or carports added later. The newer growth ring on the east and south sides of town is dominated by 2000s and 2010s subdivision homes with attached two- and three-car garages on standard suburban lots. Out toward Wadsworth and the I-80 frontage there are ranch parcels with shop buildings, RV bays, and outbuildings used as workshops.
The commercial side is what really sets Fernley apart from the smaller communities around Reno. The I-80 corridor has been a major distribution and warehouse build-out for years, with Amazon-scale facilities, smaller logistics operations, and a growing collection of light-industrial shops. Many of those commercial floors benefit from a proper epoxy coating to handle forklift traffic, oil exposure, and the cleanliness expectations of customers and inspections.
